I don't usually watch movies based on books, but The Lord of the Rings Trilogy did a VERY good job!

I also really liked Jurassic Park and The Sixth Sense

I watched Jurassic Park idk if it was 1,2, or 3. It was bloody O.o I watched it in school. I also kept getting scared O.O

All the Jurassic Park moves are kind of bloody :\ but the first one is the only good one, in my opinion. Even though it didn't particularly follow the book... the awesome musical score made up for that.
